  • Cookbooks: Crazy for Citrus and Chile Head Sampler are both available now!
  • Read the latest "Ask a Master Gardener" column in the San Jose Mercury News.
  • Looking for the tomato or chile pepper (PDFs) varieties we sold this spring? Or view our guides for growing great tomatoes and peppers
  • Oriental Fruit Flies have been found in the city of Santa Clara. Information about the eradication program begun on August 20, 2008 and a map of the treatment area can be found at this Santa Clara County website. Californians are asked not to bring home fruit or vegetables from your travels. This pest is harmful to agriculture, home gardens and California's native environment.
  • There's still a quarantine due to the light brown apple moth in portions of Santa Clara County. Visit the Santa Clara County web site for more information. Residents are asked not to move plants or produce from their home gardens within the quarantine area.
  • The Mediterranean Fruit Fly quarantine in San Jose has been lifted as of August 4, 2008.
  • Support the Master Gardeners by making a donation.
